Rector Off Day The Rector is off duty on a Monday. Emergencies on this day please do contact the parish office who will ensure that the rector receives the message.
Welcome Team Members The role of the Welcome Team are to make the initial contact with visitors, and ensure that they are welcome at St Saviour’s. They greet people as they arrive for the service, hand out pew leaflets, assist with the collection and make sure that totals of persons at services are kept. They will also supply newcomers’ forms when needed. Please return all newcomers forma to the Welcome Team Members.
New Comers New comers are asked to speak to a Welcome Team member after Mass who will provide them with the information they require. Newcomers meetings are usually held at about thrice a year. All new comers are encouraged to have an initial meeting with the rector of the parish who could be contacted via the parish office or on 021 6741078. New Comers are encouraged to attend an Anglican liturgy course held by the Rector. Attending the parish Alpha course is also encouraged.
Flower Guild The flower guild is made up of a team of retired ladies. They do flowers on a Friday or Saturday or when available. Special holiday are Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve and Easter Saturday. Youth The age group which join the Youth Group is 13 (turning 14) - 19 years for 2019. Youth meet during the 09h15 Mass in the Daikin room. During the distribution of communion, the Youth process into the church to share in the sacrament or for a blessing. On the last Sunday of each month there is no Youth as it is a Family Service. Confirmation The Confirmation course runs for around 18 months. 3 Months Bible study and the rest confirmation syllabus. Bible Study and Confirmation takes place at 08h00am on a Sunday Morning. Classes are in School term times only. The Confirmation course is for all minors in at least Grade 7. Saturday Quiet Mornings Quiet mornings will happen once a quarter either at St Saviours or Good Shepherd from 08:00am to 11:00am. Please follow pewleaflets for dates

Choir Our church has been blessed with a choir and if you enjoy singing, choir practice is held on a Thursday evenings at 19:00. The choir sings at the 9:15 Sunday Eucharist and Major church festivals. For more info contact Alan Clapp 021 671 8045
Marriages Couples intending to get married must meet with the Rector 3 months before the marriage date. At the first meeting couples must bring their Identity documents. Please note that no date can be confirmed for a wedding prior to a meeting or conversation with the Rector.
Baptism Preparation Parishioners wanting their babies baptised must be regular at worship and pledge paying members of the parish. Check Parish Calendar for dates. Godparents must come from ACSA, (Anglican Church of Southern Africa) Congregational Church, the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Methodist Church, the Presbyterian Church, and the Reformed Presbyterian Church, also churches that accept the Nicene Creed and practise infant baptism (Includes the Roman Catholic Church) Please note that no person that has denounced their infant baptism can be godparents or sponsors. Please provide the rector with a letter from your church to verify that you belonging to the church and that you are a regular worshipper, except if you are a member of St Saviours. You must also be a member of the parish and also be a pledge pay- ing member for at least 3 months before you can make application for baptism.
Prayer Chain/Guild of St Raphael The Parish has prayer worriers who are on the prayer chain team having the responsibility to pray for persons. Names are forwarded to prayer worriers by the Rector via sms. If you are wanting to join the prayer chain please speak to the Rector.
Fund Raising Various fund raisers will take place during the year with the Annual bazaar Fete will be held on Saturday the 5th September. Ursula Jacobs (0837402212) is the chairperson of the fundraising committee. She will be approaching you to join the fundraising committee or if you feel called to this ministry please contact her. The date for the Parish Dance is on the 1st of March at re- treat Civic Centre. Band in attendance Sweet Sounds. For more info on bazaar and tickets contact Avril at the parish office on 021 6718171.
Funeral arrangements Please contact the Rector via the parish office before making funeral arrangements.

Tithing It is very important that as Christians we should take our tithing seriously! 2 Corinthians: 9:7 “Let everyone give accordingly as they determined in their heart, nor grudgingly or from compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” If you do not have a pledge number, please make sure that you get one from the Parish Secretary.
Home Visits Please contact the parish office or the rector directly if you would like a home visit.
Hospitalisation Please ensure that the Parish Secretary receives correct details about your hospitalization. Please inform the hospital staff that you are a member of the Anglican Church of Southern Af- rica. We also ask that you also inform the secretary once you are discharged from hospital.
